Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett stated that he would like to give more than 80 percent of his wealth to charities. He increased that amount to 99.9 percent in 2020. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which was established by Bill Gates and Melinda (the Microsoft founder) was the principal beneficiary. This foundation focused on global health and education. Bill and Buffett had been friends since the 90s. Other organisations that received donations were those run by Buffett's children, and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation named after his late wife. The foundation focused on reproductive health for women and funded scholarships for college. The Giving Pledge was an invitation for wealthy individuals to donate a significant portion of their wealth to charities that was created by Buffett and Gates in 2010.
