Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress from the US. Her best-known work is her part as Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in A Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice in The Practice, as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She was enthralled by performing at the age of Preparatory and then moved to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and pursued a degree in theater in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for a number of years before taking on film and television roles. In 1992 Anna found her first big character in the role of Arden in the 29th episode from Down the Shore. In the following years, she was an actor in number of television shows and films like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was tapped in a recurring role in The Practice as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood were also part of her professional career. Gunn has also appeared on the stage in the David Schwimmer directed production of Sex With Strangers. Also, she appeared in Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio plays. The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler tends to be the central theme of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship similar to the arc that was Walter White's final days of life.
